1. What makes a website search engine friendly?

Several factors make a website search engine friendly, including keywords, Url structure, quality content, quality backlinks, titles, metadata, etc. A website needs these factors to be ranked by a search engine and therefore found by a user.

2. What are backlinks?

A backlink is what we call the incoming links into a website from an external source, also known as link building.

3. What is the difference between a do-follow and no-follow and how are they used?

No-follow link attributes tell search engine bots not to follow a certain link. no-follow link is a link that does not count as a point in the page's favor, does not boost PageRank, and doesn't help a page's placement in the SERPs. 

Unlike No-follow links, Dofollow links are an HTML attribute that is used to allow search bots to follow the links.

4. What is on-page vs off-page SEO?

On-page SEO includes the factors you can control on your website, such as keywords, content, page structure, internal linking, load time, etc. 

Off-page SEO includes those factors you can’t control, such as backlinks.Off-Page SEO” refers to all of the activities that you do away from your website to raise the ranking of a page with search engines.

SEO stands for Search Engine Optimization and SEM stands for Search Engine Marketing. The biggest difference between the two is that SEO is free and SEM is paid. 6. What is a canonical issue?

A canonical issue happens when you seem to have duplicate content. (Google penalizes for duplicate content.) This might happen if you have different versions of a URL pointing to the same webpage, for example, https://domain.com and https://www.domain.com.

7. What is PageRank and why does it matter?

PageRank is about credibility and it is used to help rank your pages. Credibility is determined in part by the age of the page, the amount and quality of the content, and the number of inbound links.

8. What is Domain Authority?

Domain Authority is a search engine ranking score developed by Moz. It predicts how well a website will rank in search results.

9. What is Googlebot?

To index and update a webpage Google uses Googlebot (Web Spider). Caching, Crawling and indexing of a webpage are done through Googlebot by collecting details from that webpage.

10. What is the main purpose of using keywords in SEO?

 The keywords or words and phrases are used by the search engines to populate the subjects over the internet. Search engine stores keywords in the database, and when a user types a keyword, the search engine will come up with the best possible match.
